Description
Summary:
- Performs a variety of duties to support administration of the assigned department.
Essential Functions:
- Demonstrates the ability to be flexible and organized.
- Maintains a good working relationship both within Administration and other departments.
- Communicates appropriately and clearly to managers, physicians, visitors, and other employees.
- Maintains the administration reception area in a professional manner.
- Maintains files and office equipment. Orders and stocks supplies. Retrieve and sort mail.
- Maintain confidentiality of administrative records and files.
- Composes, types, and transcribes correspondence, forms, reports, presentation materials and other written communications. Able to compile data from different sources for special projects and prepare reports accordingly.
- Drafts financial, statistical, narrative, and/or other reports as requested.
- Demonstrates the ability to compile and organize data for various departments.
- Arranges, participates in, and implements, as directed, conferences and committee meetings.
- Schedules/coordinates meetings, conferences, special events, appointments, and travel arrangements. Maintains assigned calendar(s).
- Receives, screens, and routes visitors and telephone calls appropriately and in a professional manner.
- Responds to, escalates, and follows up on inquiries and concerns/issues appropriately.
- Manages payroll system for Nursing Administration or/and other Nursing Departments when needed.
- Maintains spreadsheet of required departmental nursing licensure and certifications.
- Assists Nursing with departmental needs, preparation of staffing schedules, logs, etc.

- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
