What are the responsibilities and job description for the Apprentice position at VAUGHN INDUSTRIES LLC?
Vaughn Industries, LLC is currently taking applications for Apprentices for Electrical, Mechanical, High Voltage Substation, and High Voltage Transmission and Distribution trades in Ohio. Applications for Apprentices are being accepted for our 2025/2026 school year in the following trades: Electrical, High Voltage Transmission and Distribution, High Voltage Substation, Mechanical –Sheet Metal Worker & Pipefitter. We are a nationwide construction contractor in Mechanical, Electrical, Renewable Energy, & High Voltage Construction. We have offices in Carey and Lewis Center, OH. This is an entry-level position designed to start a career in the construction trades.
Duties:
- Various construction site duties- tasks & duties will vary by trade
- Earn while you learn-- on the job training (OJT) & classroom education for each trade
- Support Journeyman in the trade
- Construction work on large facilities and construction sites that may be commercial, industrial, governmental
- Perform less skilled tasks for a number of years before moving into the Journeyman role
- Tool handling
- Work independently from the Journeyman at times on tasks that require less skill or experience
- Progression so that apprentice may be given more independence in completion of tasks
