Job Title: Ultrasonographer/Vascular Sonographer (New Grads can apply)
Duration: Full time permanent
Location: Las Cruces, NM 88011
Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 Annually
Requirements:
- Graduate of an approved program of Ultrasound/Sonography, or equivalent. – Required
- Licenses: ARDMS and RVT Registered or if new graduate, must be ARDMS eligible and pass a test in at least one area (ie Abdomen, OBGYN) including physics within one year of employment and pass the RVT exam within 18 months of employment.
- NM license to practice as a Sonographer.
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Ultrasonographer to join our medical team. The Ultrasonographer will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations for patients under the supervision of a physician.
Duties
- Conduct ultrasound procedures using specialized equipment to visualize internal organs
- Prepare patients for procedures and explain the process to them
- Analyze images to ensure high-quality diagnostic results
- Maintain patient records and adhere to patient confidentiality guidelines
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnostic evaluations
- Utilize sonography techniques in various medical areas such as cardiology, radiology, and more
Requirements
- Proficiency in performing ultrasound scans including abdominal, pelvic, and vascular studies
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control practices
- Familiarity with cardiac catheterization and vital signs monitoring during procedures
- Experience working in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center is advantageous
- Strong understanding of lab values relevant to sonography
- Certification in Sonography or related field
