Job Overview :
Our client, a 120-bed Skilled Nursing Facility in Silver City, NM, is seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join their rehabilitation team. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a Monday to Friday schedule with no weekend rotation. As a PTA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to provide high-quality physical therapy services to patients recovering from various conditions, promoting mobility, strength, and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans designed by the Physical Therapist (PT).
- Provide direct physical therapy services to patients, including exercises, manual therapy, and modalities aimed at improving mobility and function.
- Monitor patient progress and document treatment outcomes, adjusting as needed to meet patient goals.
- Educate patients and their families on exercise techniques, safety protocols, and strategies for improving mobility at home.
- Collaborate with the rehabilitation team, including PTs, nurses, and physicians, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment for therapy sessions, following safety protocols and infection control measures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and progress notes in compliance with facility standards and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and treatment plans.
