Job Overview :
Our client a 120bed Skilled Nursing Facility in Silver City NM is seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join their rehabilitation team. This is a fulltime permanent position offering a Monday to Friday schedule with no weekend rotation. As a PTA you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to provide highquality physical therapy services to patients recovering from various conditions promoting mobility strength and overall wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans designed by the Physical Therapist (PT).
- Provide direct physical therapy services to patients including exercises manual therapy and modalities aimed at improving mobility and function.
- Monitor patient progress and document treatment outcomes adjusting as needed to meet patient goals.
- Educate patients and their families on exercise techniques safety protocols and strategies for improving mobility at home.
- Collaborate with the rehabilitation team including PTs nurses and physicians to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment for therapy sessions following safety protocols and infection control measures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and progress notes in compliance with facility standards and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and treatment plans.
