Job Title: Junior Cybersecurity Analyst
About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Cybersecurity Analyst with 3-4 years of experience to join our growing security team. Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from various sources, including Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and other security tools.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, following established procedures and documenting findings.
- Implement and maintain email security protocols (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) to prevent phishing and spoofing attacks.
- Assist in the management and configuration of network endpoint protection solutions.
- Support the security of Windows 11 environments, including configuration management, patch deployment, and security hardening.
- Analyze network traffic and endpoint activity to detect suspicious behavior and potential threats.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of security documentation and procedures.
- Participate in security awareness training and initiatives.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure security best practices are implemented.
- Assist in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing activities.
Qualifications:
- 3-4 years of experience in a cybersecurity analyst role.
- Experience in industry or related industries, Oilfield services experience is a plus.
- Strong understanding of network endpoint protection concepts and technologies.
- Proficiency in using and managing Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.
- Knowledge of email security protocols (SPF, DKIM, DMARC).
- Experience securing Windows 11 environments.
- Solid understanding of network security principles and technologies.
- Systems background or experience with system administration is a strong plus.
- Associate’s degree or higher in cybersecurity, computer science, or a related field.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
