We are seeking a highly motivated full-time Outpatient and Prescription Services Supervisor with a friendly, outgoing, and positive attitude who enjoys people and pets to join our team at VCA Loomis Basin Veterinary Clinic.
Our hospital campus is on nine beautiful acres in the foothills of the Sierra Mountains, set amongst oak trees, a creek and pond and shared with wildlife. We offer a spectrum of services from general practice, 24-hour ER services to specialty services. We have a supportive team of board-certified specialists in internal medicine, oncology, surgery, critical care, cardiology and radiology; as well as ER and general practice veterinarians who love to teach and partner with our support team members.

The Supervisor works under the direction of the Hospital Administrator and Hospital Manager to ensure consistent and quality patient care. This position is responsible for supervising the Outpatient and Prescription Services Team.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- monitoring the overall performance, flow, and operations of outpatient and prescription services,
- participating in staffing processes such as interviewing, hiring, training, and performance evaluations,
- conducting monthly department meetings
- maintaining overall accountability for the outpatient and prescription services team
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years' experience as a Veterinary Assistant/Outpatient Assistant
- Proven ability to interact effectively with associates
- Previous experience in supervisory role preferred
- Ability to work in collaborative environment with multiple departments and leaders
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Basic typing and computer skills
- Ability to deliver exceptional client service
- Must be available for weekend and/or evening rotation

Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. The pay range for this position is $22.00 to $26.00 per hour.
