The BIM Specialist Overview:
You’ll apply your BIM expertise to develop, manage, and refine models for multifamily structural projects. Collaborating with engineers, architects, and other BIM teams, you’ll ensure seamless workflows and adherence to company standards. As a member of a cutting-edge BIM team, you will have opportunities to influence custom tool development, you’ll gain visibility through contributions to project success, tool innovation, and model accuracy.

Internal Visibility: This position reports directly to a Senior BIM Manager and works closely with engineers, architects, and other project stakeholders, ensuring your contributions are recognized and valued.
Your Primary Directive
As a BIM Specialist, you will take a leadership role in managing and overseeing Revit modeling workflows for structural engineering projects. This position requires a deep understanding of Revit, strong leadership abilities, and the capacity to work in a high-paced environment. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, quality, and efficiency of BIM models while mentoring and guiding team members.
Your Responsibilities include:
- Oversee and manage a team of Revit modelers, ensuring proper training, organization, and efficiency in model development.
- Develop and maintain accurate BIM models for multifamily and commercial projects, focusing on concrete substructures and wood superstructures.
- Interpret engineering markups and structural elements by analyzing architectural models to accurately model structural slabs, and wood framing.
- Enforce BIM standards and best practices, ensuring compliance with Level of Development (LOD) requirements and company guidelines.
- Review and approve BIM models, maintaining consistency, accuracy, and adherence to quality expectations.
- Assign and oversee tasks for BIM modelers, ensuring timely and precise execution.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers and architects to align modeling efforts with projects goals and schedules.
- Identify and implement workflows improvements, enhancing efficiency and Revit capabilities.
- Report progress, challenges, and recommendation to senior management, ensuring transparency and continuous improvement.
- Troubleshoot modeling challenges and collaborate across teams to maintain seamless coordination.
- Participate in training and mentorship opportunities, preparing for future leadership responsibilities as a BIM Lead.
The Experience You’ll Bring
- Advanced Revit proficiency with expertise in structural modeling workflows.
- Provide experience managing a team of BIM professionals, including training and mentorship.
- Experience with multifamily residential or similar structural projects is preferred.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and architectural models with attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across disciplines.
- Excellent note taking skills

Your Education
- Associate degree in Architecture, Engineering, or an equivalent BIM technical degree
