The Advancement Services and Prospect Research Specialist provides grant management, along with a comprehensive range of prospect research, analysis, data analytics, data reporting, prospect management, datamining and database management in order to successfully execute the flow of prospects into and through the major donor pipeline. The Manager will establish systems, adhere to guidelines and apply technical solutions to minimize risk, maximize system efficiency.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
- Expertise in donor management software, such as DonorPerfect
- Ability to make database system modifications, produce queries and reports, and update records
- Knowledge and understanding of best practices in donor management software administration and management.
- Demonstrated ability to perform research on individuals, foundations and corporations at a high level using a variety of resources
- Knowledge of what constitutes relevant and strategic information and how to analyze the data to support prospect development
- Proficiency in conceptualizing and developing proactive prospecting methodologies to support organizational goals and understand the role of prospect research in a sophisticated development program
- Knowledge of current trends in prospect management, prospect research, and fundraising campaigns
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, including strong written and verbal skills.
- Ability to appropriately handle confidential and sensitive information with the highest professional and ethical standards.
