- Perform construction tasks including asphalt raking, asphalt rolling, loading, delivery, digging, and operating equipment
- Install underground telecommunications cabling
- Operate construction equipment, and maintain work areas
- Clearly communicate with all team members
- Complete daily production reports
- Help with site restoration efforts
- Perform work in all weather conditions
- Other duties as assigned
- Completes and maintains all training
- Always follow safety regulations, procedures, and policies in all work activities
- All phases of underground construction include but are not limited to: Loading, driving, delivery, digging, removal and placement of various types, sizes and weight of construction materials and equipment.
- Hand dig using shovel, mechanical tools.
- Install and maintenance of underground telecommunications cabling.
- Asphalt Raking.
- Asphalt Rolling.
- Screed Operator.
- Climb into and out of equipment. (trucks, cars, backhoes, trenchers, etc.)
- Operate or work around heavy equipment and machinery: Backhoe, Jackhammer, Jumping Jack, Hole Hog, Roto Hammer, Cut-Off Saw, Portable Water Pump, Saws-All, pedestals, cables, plastic conduit, shovel, rake, sledgehammer, pipe wrench, wire cutters, bolt cutters, cable cutters, drilling shafts, etc.
- Working in congested or remote areas.
- Maintain visual and audible contact with other crewman and all moving or stationary persons/vehicles/objects to ensure safe coordination of movement. Perform general construction work under direction of Foreman/Supervisor.
- Flagging, property or worksite restoration.
- Maintain safe working habits/conditions according to all regulations, procedures and policies.
- To be 18 years of age or older
- Authorization to work in the United States for this company
- High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
- Previous experience safely operating various hand tools and utility trucks, is preferred
- To be 18 years of age or older
- Authorization to work in the United States for this company
- A valid driver’s license
- High School Diploma, GED equivalent, relevant work experience, or a combination of education and work experience preferred
- At least three years of related work experience
- Previous Foreman experience preferred
- Routinely: work alone in remote locations and in confined spaces with arms above shoulder level, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds
- Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
