Job Overview

VCP Sales markets and distributes innovative pipeline integrity products(Pipeline Coatings) directly to end users and resellers. We maintain a basic inventory of products (cases & pallets) at our Michigan City location and provide outstanding service to our customers throughout North America.

VCP Sales, founded in 2021, is a small business coating supplier specializing in serving the Pipeline industry. Each team member is an integral part of the weekly operations. VCP Sales is rapidly expanding, and each team member has growth opportunities. We value integrity in corrosion, customer relationships, and office interaction. Job Description

Data and Office Management

  • Quoting, identifying, and qualifying sales opportunities
  • Process customer orders accurately and efficiently
  • Schedule and follow up on orders and product shipping, invoicing, and credit card payments
  • Troubleshooting upholding our 5-star service and efficiency
  • Good written and verbal communication Skills
  • Phone skills, Basic incoming and outgoing Sales Calls that require professionalism, active listening, sincerity and empathy
  • Inventory management
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat.
  • Provide accurate and helpful information regarding products, services, pricing, and promotions
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers.
  • Collaborate with the team on new client onboarding and client maintenance, etc.
  • Maintaining industry best practices
  • Maintain and document electronic file system using OneDrive, Onepage(CRM)
  • Proofreading, editing presentations, and documents
  • New duties and responsibilities may arise if time allows, as we are a rapidly growing company, and adaptability would be an asset

Technical Skills

  • Accounting Software: Basic understanding of bookkeeping principles with a willingness to learn QuickBooks and HandiFox
  • Microsoft Office: Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and OneDrive
  • CRM Software: Basic understanding of OnePage CRM and other online marketing software
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with email, web search, e-calendars, and other online office applications

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Organization: Well-organized with an orderly approach and attention to detail

This position is a direct report to the Director of Sales and Marketing with the following additional responsibilities:

  • Support the increase of brand awareness
  • Calendar management
  • Research, book travel, and industry events
  • Create, proofread, and order industry swag, tradeshow items

Previous experience in a customer service setting is required. Sales and marketing experience is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
