The GME Coordinator Education job serves as primary education consultant for the Graduate Medical Education (GME) department. This job is responsible for assessing and evaluating training programs educational needs.
The GME Coordinator Education job oversees and manages a portfolio educational initiatives. This position works collaboratively with the Associate DIO, Program Directors, Program Coordinators, GMEC subcommittees’ chairs, and faculty to develop and implement educational programming for residents, fellows, and the GME community. This position also recruits and assists in training volunteers for educational events.
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire: N/A Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment: TAGME Certification preferred Experience REQUIRED: Minimum of three (3) years previous relevant experience supporting educational programming in graduate medical education or other accredited educational program Proficient in MS Office applications (MS Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, Excel). Ability to operate MS Teams and Zoom Attention to detail, critical thinking and ability to review and translate policy. Experience PREFERRED: Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible GME experience supporting an ACGME accredited program. Strong working knowledge of Survey software programs (RedCap, Qualtrics, Question Pro, Survey Monkey, Google Forms, etc.) Proficient in Social Media Platforms (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook) Developed curricula, training, and evaluation for learners with different learning styles Education/training REQUIRED: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution Education/training PREFERRED: Master’s Degree in Education, Business, Organizational Management or related field from an accredited institution Independent action(s) required: Possess strong personal motivation to manage daily Activities: organize, plan, prioritize and complete tasks, duties and assignments timely and efficiently, with minimal supervision Communicates effectively both in writing and orally to express ideas, exchanges information and report issues clearly and concisely. Ability to interpret and seek verification, if needed, on policies and regulations as they apply to educational programs. Critical thinking and decision making skills to evaluate situations, recommend, communicate and implement appropriate actions. Create post event feedback surveys and independently analyze results Assist in leading continuous process improvement of educational programming Ability to develop and sustain productive working relationships with residents/fellows, faculty, staff, program directors, program coordinators, as well as internal and external contacts. Supervisory responsibilities (if applicable): N/A Additional position requirements: Flexible work hours are required to support programs in early morning, late afternoon and evening.
