- Division chief and faculty administrative support
- Faculty and staff timekeeping
- Graduate program support
- Department website maintenance
- Faculty recruitment logistics (Itinerary, reservations, interview scheduling)
- Annual projects (fixed asset inventory, space survey, faculty contracts)
- Travel coordination (including departmental seminar series)
Required Education and Experience:
- Applicants should have advanced computer skills, excellent communication, and organizational skills
- Office skills must include knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access
- Must be willing and able to learn various VCU systems
- Must be able to perform multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain a strong work ethic
- Must have a demonstrated commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion in past experiences or a commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU
- One to three years of experience working in an academic system
- Prefer individual with a strong foundation in document writing, editing, and grammar
- Experience using VCU & VCUH systems such as Banner, RealSource, RealTime, Chrome River, Workday, Qgenda
