Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical or Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in high-energy-density battery cell packaging development. This role involves overseeing the design and technical assessment of battery cell packaging, both internally and in collaboration with outsourced partners. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Lithium Polymer Battery Technologies and other high-density energy storage packaging designs, along with a solid understanding of power electronics fundamentals for applications in automotive or aerospace industries.
Key Responsibilities
Battery Cell Packaging Development
- Design and oversee high-energy-density battery cell packaging for various applications.
- Provide technical oversight for outsourced battery cell package development to meet industry standards.
Performance Optimization
- Ensure effective charging, discharging, cooling, balancing, and handling mechanisms for high-density energy storage systems.
Hardware and Systems Expertise
- Apply a deep understanding of power electronics fundamentals in automotive and aerospace usage scenarios across diverse environmental conditions.
Product Development and Validation
- Develop and implement criteria and test requirements for production-ready designs.
- Make critical technical judgments to evaluate product readiness for series production.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- Extensive experience in high-energy-density battery cell packaging development.
- Proficiency in Lithium Polymer Battery Technologies or other energy storage solutions.
- Strong knowledge of power electronics fundamentals, especially in automotive or aerospace
- Hands-on experience with series production development, including testing and validation.
- Proven ability to make sound technical decisions for product readiness and production worthiness.
Nice-to-Have
- Expertise in optimizing performance under varied usage and environmental conditions.
- Familiarity with evolving trends in energy storage technologies and applications.
