Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer (8-15 years) to join a dynamic infrastructure engineering team focused on innovation and automation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for provisioning, configuring, and managing network infrastructure in a hybrid cloud environment while adhering to industry best practices and compliance standards. This role requires collaboration with application and infrastructure developers to support rapid deployments and ensure high-availability IT services.
Key Responsibilities
- Network Lifecycle Management & Automation
- Develop and implement automated lifecycle management for network infrastructure.
- Leverage tools like Ansible, Terraform, Perl, PowerShell, Puppet, or Chef for automation.
- Network Infrastructure Monitoring & Troubleshooting
- Perform daily system monitoring to verify network integrity and availability.
- Act as an escalation point for troubleshooting LAN/WAN issues in production, QA, and DEV environments.
- Performance Optimization & Capacity Planning
- Conduct ongoing performance tuning and optimize network resources.
- Support periodic performance reporting to facilitate capacity planning.
- Operational Support & Collaboration
- Provide after-hours on-call support as needed.
- Implement network designs using reference architectures for projects and operational needs.
- Collaborate with non-technical teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Data Center & Network Infrastructure Management
- Identify and manage passive cabling, cross-connects, and cabinet installations.
- Monitor and report network health metrics and analytics.
Qualifications
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience Requirements:
- 8-15 years of experience in CISCO LAN/WAN administration.
- Hands-on experience with hybrid cloud network environments.
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of network automation using Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell, Puppet, Chef, or similar tools.
- Experience with data center infrastructure, including passive cabling and cross-connects.
- Familiarity with AWS and cloud networking solutions (preferred).
- Certifications (At least one preferred):
- CISCO Certification (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, etc.).
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.
- Red Hat Certified Specialist.
- Automation Certification.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel and provide after-hours support.
