Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Lead Engineer to lead electrical hardware design, development, and testing projects within the aerospace domain. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical manufacturing, printed circuits, power systems, avionics, and electronics hardware development. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, performing design analysis, and ensuring compliance with aerospace industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Electrical Hardware Development:
- Design, develop, and analyze electronics hardware, including systems, analog/digital circuits, and power electronics fundamentals tailored to the aerospace domain.
- Collaborate with electrical/software engineers to develop and test prototype boards.
- Design Analysis & Development:
- Perform detailed design analysis for power electronics circuits, microcontroller support circuitry, discrete devices, signal conditioning, and sensor circuits.
- Work closely with project focal points to manage component selection and schematics entry.
- Documentation & Instructions:
- Prepare Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and comprehensive work instructions.
- Ensure timely updates and adherence to aerospace standard work and procedures.
- Testing & Assembly:
- Oversee manufacturing and assembly processes for electrical components, ensuring alignment with design requirements.
- Troubleshoot and validate designs to meet aerospace specifications.
- Tool & Software Expertise:
- Utilize tools such as DOORs for requirements management, and proficiency with MS Office for reporting and documentation.
Skills & Qualifications
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in electrical manufacturing, assembly, and printed circuits.
- Expertise in speed controllers, power systems, and avionics.
- Strong understanding of electronics hardware, including System/Analog/Digital/Power Electronics.
- Hands-on experience in component selection, schematics entry, and design analysis.
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in preparing ECOs, work instructions, and aerospace-standard documentation.
- Experience with tools like DOORs, MS Office, and familiarity with Aerospace Standard Work.
