Job Title: UX Designer & Technical Architect (Figma, AWS, Azure)
Location: New Jersey , NJ ( Onsite )
Duration/Term: Long Term Contract

Job Description:

As a UX Designer with a technical focus, you will span the worlds of user experience design and technical application development. You will work closely with customers, stakeholders, and development teams to create user-centric designs and deliver robust technical solutions for custom applications.

Design Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with customers, stakeholders, product owners, and the technical team to gather requirements, understand opportunities, and conduct research.
• Make UI recommendations based on good design principles and user needs.
• Develop mock-ups and propose solutions to communicate design concepts clearly, reviewing proposals with customers and iterating rapidly.
• Create clickable prototypes using tools like Figma or Adobe XD, conduct usability testing, gather feedback, and refine designs.
• Build detailed wireframes and create technical work packages containing designs and documentation for vendor quotations or handover to internal developers.

Technical Responsibilities:

• Propose architectural technical solutions, including data flow between systems, integration with databases, and cloud systems.
• Create high-level architectural diagrams, define integrations, and design database schemas.
• Convert business requirements into technical specifications.
• Create and maintain project documentation, including design specifications, user flows, and implementation guides.
• Make technology selection and trade-off decisions.
• Review technical quotes from vendors, negotiate costs and timelines.
• Review project plans, budgets, and timelines to ensure project success.
• Build test plans and conduct application testing in partnership with testers, developers, and SQAs.

Overall Requirements:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field; Master s degree preferred.
• A portfolio showcasing your wireframing and UX design work.
• Strong initiative, ability to self-manage, and a passion for digital product development.
• Proven track record in designing custom applications.
• Experience defining and creating comprehensive work packages that outline project scope, deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Experience working with software development teams and managing vendor relationships.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to travel internationally occasionally.

Preferred:

• Experience in Agile methodologies, SDLC, and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of data engineering, Databricks, and Python.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Expertise in digital application architecture and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Track record in project management.
• Familiarity with supply chain digital tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
