What are the responsibilities and job description for the Market Research Intern position at VDC Research?
VDC Research Group is a B2B technology market intelligence and consulting firm, delivering in-depth insights and strategies to vendors, technology decision makers, and investors across the globe since 1971. We are seeking SUMMER interns looking to pursue careers in technology market research and/or consulting onsite at our Southborough, MA office. This is not a remote position.
Interns will work with teams of seasoned market analysts and participate in data collection and research report creation. Interns will work closely with their mentors to gain an understanding of the day-to-day operations of a leading market research and consulting firm.
Responsibilities and key tasks may include (but not limited to):
- Assist in the creation and execution of market research reports
- Conduct secondary research on technologies and vendors
- Work with quantitative and qualitative data sets
- Write/blog about technology news and trends
- Participate in briefings with technology vendors
Ideal candidates will possess the following:
- Candidate of a BA/BS degree
- Strong written and oral business communication skills
- Strong MS Office skills—Excel, Power Point, and Word
- Interest in high-tech
- Survey experience
- Ability to learn fast and take instruction well
This paid internship will begin in June and conclude in August (exact start and end dates are flexible). Candidates must be able to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the internship at our Southborough, MA office.
