Goal
Supervision and execution of electrical build, integration, and installation of tooling and complete robotic production lines in accordance with customer specifications.
Organization
- In consultation with the Manufacturing Manager, monitor and supervise skilled contractors assigned to an assembly area.
- Provide professional support and guidance to contractors and suppliers upon
Assembly and commissioning
- Preparing, supervising and executing the electrical build process (studying drawings, assembly plans, line layouts, and checking availability of materials/tools).
- Wiring, adjustment, checking, and commissioning of tools and complete installations at VDL Steelweld in accordance with customer and VDL Steelweld specifications.
- Check, adjust, test tools in terms of electrical performance, quality and
- Electrical assembly of tools, grippers, etc. according to customer.
- Utilize knowledge of safe power distribution and power on procedures.- Routing of cable tray, robot cables, and all power and communication trunk cables to customer specification.
- Troubleshoot issues.
- Participate in Internal and Customer Buy-off of Tools, Kits, or Assembly Lines.
- Must be familiar with safe implementation of low voltage (24VDC) to mid voltage (600VAC) industrial wiring.
Control and reporting
- Maintain an on-time assembly line preparation along with the Manufacturing Manager
- Monitor the quality and quantity of the work of individual employees.
- Implementing and reporting on corrective measures in consultation with the Manufacturing Manager.
- Utilize and manage Area White Boards for documenting and dates, issues, progress actions, owner, buy-off dates, and delivery schedules.
- Anticipate safety risks and report on any safety concerns or incidents.
Supervision
- Guiding, directing, controlling and motivating internal/external
- Be a driving force for the Quality Assurance Management System.

- Review the details of the BOM, drawings, and schematics for project understanding and knowledge.

Composition/Authorities
- Implementing non-process or functional changes.
- Process and/or functional changes are made in consultation with the Manufacturing Manager, Mechanical Engineer, Design Engineer, Project Manager, Site Manager, Shipping/Receiving/Warehouse Coordinator.
- All changes to the BOM or Electrical Layout, or Diagrams must be approved by the Engineering Team before moving forward.
- Align the build team of contractors and resources.
Responsibility
- Optimal guidance of
- Monitoring and execution of safe work practices.
- Reporting on project progress to Manufacturing Manager and Engineering Team.- Documenting project status on White Board.
- Optimize electrical assembly.
- Optimize electrical assembly line setup and integration.
- Drive the Quality Management System in accordance with ISO9001 and ISO/14001.
- Monitor the quality inputs and outputs for material and contractor assignments.
- Perform checks for quality and operation, including the necessary
- Provide professional support and guidance to suppliers upon
- Carry out and report corrective measures in consultation with Manufacturing Manager and Engineering Team.
- Travel to the end user site and supervise contractor installations, commissioning, and tryout.
- Safe conduct of the test
- Implementation and maintenance of 5S and kaizen practices and in general keeping a clean organized shop area.
- Some Facility-related maintenance items.
