Job Summary
Creates and Manages production schedules to ensure efficient use of resources, timely delivery of products and customer expectations. Coordinates material allocation and monitors production processes to identify and resolve any issues, ultimately aiming to optimize production while minimizing costs.
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
This position may involve knowledge of confidential information. Such information will be handled with the utmost discretion.
Responsibilities
- Attends production meetings to assist in production management.
- Reviews requirements and generates production releases per all work order instructions.
- Monitors and works with Purchasing and other company personnel to ensure schedules are created and materials are available to meet production needs and customer requirements.
- Tracks production progress on the shop floor to identify potential delays or bottlenecks.
- Analyzes data to predict future product demand.
- Completes projects and reports as required by management.
- Plan and coordinate workflow for each department according to previously established sequence and load times to ensure production schedule commitments are completed by established deadlines.
- Creates detailed production schedules to provide accurate lead times.
- Determines and maintains the status of assigned programs, coordinates and expedites any issues that cause an operation to not complete on time and reports the issue to the PC&L Supervisor.
- Ensure material and hardware are here and ready for use prior to start dates, coordinate with purchasing, engineering, and quality if held for anything and report shortages and ECD's to Production Control Supervisor.
- Split, Transfer and Redline work orders per procedures.
- Initiate replacement orders as set in work instructions for lost, damaged, or non-conformance items.
- Resolves problems utilizing acquired knowledge and analytical abilities.
- Input quantity changes, and report date change requests to PC&L Supervisor.
- Close jobs after parts ship and adjust costing, as necessary.
- Reconcile MRP

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to interpret aircraft blueprints and specifications.
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Communicate effectively with employees and customers.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to perform basic and more complicated mathematic fundamentals – add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to use PC computers and have command of Microsoft software – Word and Excel, PowerPoint, and others as needed. Use of company computer systems (as trained).
- Positive customer service and ability to work with others in a team setting. Regularly works effectively, and relates well, with others including superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside of the company. Exhibits a consistent professional manner in all situations.
- Understanding of the inner workings of the company and can answer questions asked by internal and external customers.
- Strong knowledge of the aerospace industry is preferred. Working knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes for aircraft composites is essential.
- Strong motivation and self-starting initiative is required.
- Strong organizational and planning skills are required.
- Ability to operate effectively in a time-sensitive environment in order to meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to apply logic in problem solving for both internal and external customers.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
Education and Experience
Education: BS in Business or other related field preferred
Experience: 2-3 years of related experience; Minimum of one (1) year of experience in an aircraft manufacturing environment. Scheduling and/or production control experience is preferred.
Experience in MRP systems for aerospace.
Command of computer skills is required:
a. Microsoft Office software used by the company and relevant for the job position.
b. All related company systems – will be trained in these systems.
Work Authorization
Must qualify as a U.S. Person as defined by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) in order to access export-controlled technology.
Consideration is given to qualified internal and external candidates for this position. Internal employees must be in current role for 6 full months and in good standing before applying.
