Summary:
As the Regional Safety Manager, you will play a crucial role in promoting and maintaining a culture of safety within our organization. You will be responsible for overseeing and implementing safety programs, policies, and procedures across multiple locations in your assigned region. Your primary objective will be to mitigate risks, reduce accidents, and ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and industry best practices.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Safety Compliance and Reporting:
- Monitor and evaluate safety compliance at various job sites, identifying areas of improvement and implementing corrective measures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety records, including incident reports, training documentation, and safety performance metrics.
- Prepare and submit safety reports to management, regulatory agencies, and clients as required.
- Training and Education:
- Coordinate and deliver safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and workshops to enhance employee awareness and knowledge.
- Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to safety, and ensure their integration into company policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance and support to supervisors and employees regarding safety-related concerns and inquiries.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Regularly assess the effectiveness of safety programs and initiatives, recommending improvements and implementing changes as necessary.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting employee involvement and engagement in safety-related activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement standardized safety practices across all company locations.
Job Requirements:
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH, OHST) are highly desirable.
- Proven experience in safety management, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Thorough understanding of relevant safety regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.) and industry best practices.
- Strong knowledge of hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident investigation techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to deliver engaging safety training sessions.
- Effective leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving safety issues.
- Proficiency in using safety management software, incident reporting tools, and MS Office Suite.
- Flexibility to travel within the assigned region as needed.
- Must have 5 – 7 years of experience in a Safety Manager role.
