What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Coordinator position at Vector CSP LLC?
Job Summary:
Provide technical support in the areas of warehousing, and receipt and transfer of Government property and material through utilization of Government shipping and receiving tracking systems.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or GED
- At least three (3) years of experience as a Material Coordinator in a customer and business-oriented position.
Essential Duties:
- Inspect, log, and coordinate orderly short-term storage for all items delivered.
- Arrange for timely pick-up/delivery of all items received within 24 hours of receipt.
- Maintain proper marking and identification of all boxes and equipment.
- Conduct equipment inventory and documentation maintaining records for all government equipment custody transfers and facility plant and property inventory support.
- Ensure reutilized equipment is properly accounted for using Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Disposition Services.
- Provide transportation service for removal of equipment from government facilities to the appropriate disposal point.
- Assist Government customers as required with completion of Government documents DD1348 (Turn-In Document) DD200 (Lost or Missing Equipment Document), and with tracking of and preparation of required paperwork for small order requests.
Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:
- Knowledge of shipping, receiving, storage and safeguarding of Government property/material and proficient utilization of related receiving/tracking systems and Government documents DD1348 and DD200.
- Skilled at providing phone and in-person technical support in the areas of warehousing, and receipt and transfer of Government property/material.
- Ability to accurately track and monitor material location and usage.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
