The Switchboard Operator/Receptionist is responsible for greeting customers and determines the nature of their visit and directs them to the appropriate personnel.
Responsibilities

MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:
- Record and transmit messages.
- Keep records of calls placed.
- Provide information to callers and visitors
- Make and keep log of visitors
- Operate computer and perform other routine clerical work
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
- Office and outside work as required by mission. Nights, Weekend, Overtime and travel dependent on mission requirements.
- Must be able to operate standard office equipment, such as a computer, copy machine and fax machine.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
- Duties may require walking, lifting, standing for long periods and being exposed to hot, cold and wet conditions.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a valid State Driver’s License with no restrictions.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
- Must be able to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship, such as a birth certificate or a U.S. Passport.
- Must be able to maintain driving privileges aboard the Fort Liberty Installation.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Transportation experience perferred.
- Familiarity with Defense Transportation Regulation covering Cargo movement
- Ability to work independently with little direction or supervision.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task under short deadlines.
- Effective organizational, analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with forklifts, pallet jacks and other handling equipment.
- Customer service skills preferred.
- Ability to work with all levels of personal.
SUPERVISORY/ BUDGET RESPONSIBILITY:
- No budget or approval authority to obligation to funds.
