What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Practice Manager Vein Center position at Vein Institute of South Mississippi?
The Vein Institute of South Mississippi is happy to be adding a Practice Manager to the team. This person will oversee the day-to-day operations of the practice and include managing personnel and their assignments including hiring and ongoing performance of the staff, oversee practice operations, as well as collaborate with our existing marketing team and our revenue cycle management team.
This individual will travel weekly between our three locations in D’iberville, Hattiesburg, and (soon) Meridian to oversee staff and ensure a professional atmosphere and the utmost in patient experience.
Salary $65,000/year – negotiable based on experience
M-F 9-5.
NO WEEKENDS.
PAID MAJOR HOLIDAYS OFF.

MUSTS:
-MUST have at least 2 years experience in managing a medical office & staff
-MUST have experience in directly managing patient scheduling in a procedure-based medical practice
-MUST be high energy and assertive; you will be “the boss” and set the tone for the day!
-MUST have excellent communications skills, conflict resolution experience and patient relations experience
-MUST have excellent administrative and supervisory skills as well as knowledge of clerical duties and responsibilities
- What you will be doing – key responsibilities:
* Staff Management
* Assign, direct and manage staff duties
* Determine staff schedules
* Recruit, interview and hire employees as directed by the CEO
* Orient and train new staff
* Organize staff training on OSHA and HIPAA compliance
* Display any posters required by federal, state or local law
* Monitor staff performance
* Conduct staff and salary reviews
* Coordinate team meetings
* Engage in conflict resolution
* Support with all aspects of practice operations
* Frequently travel among the locations to assure a unified and cohesive professional environment and exceptional patient experience
* Support practice performance and partner with our staff to help identify opportunities that deliver optimal performance and operational excellence.
* Ensure compliance with all health standards in line with regulatory bodies and internal policies.
* Support with marketing initiatives to increase new patient growth.
* Provide back-up support to our staff as required which may include travelling to locations to assist with front office tasks, helping with patient account items such as explanation of insurance coverage and costs to patients, assisting with patient rooming and workflows to maximize office efficiency.
