Vein-ity Vein Care Center is seeking a compassionate and experienced Ultrasound Technician to join our team. Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM. Occasional nights as needed.
Summary
The Vascular Ultrasound Technician is responsible for ensuring outstanding patient experience and providing an excellent level of customer service. This position performs vascular ultrasound examinations of a patient’s lower extremities, and other studies as needed, while balancing the needs of patients and maintaining efficient workflow of the office.
Essential Functions
- Perform detailed venous duplex ultrasounds for the purpose of diagnosing chronic venous insufficiency and recommending an effective treatment plan.
- Utilize ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality images of the deep and superficial veins.
- Assist the Physician or Physician Assistant in performing endovenous treatments including radiofrequency ablation, cyanoacetate, chemical ablation or ultrasound guided foam sclerotherapy.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Assist the Medical Assistant in the set up, room change and stocking of the procedure rooms, exam rooms and ultrasound rooms before and after each patient.
- Perform all additional ultrasound examinations per facility protocol.
- Adhere to the standard time allotments for each type of ultrasound exam in order to maintain the efficient flow of patients during the scheduled day.
- Work with the office staff, administrative staff and Physicians to review the ultrasound schedule and to maintain the patient load at an efficient and productive level.
- Develop and maintain quality of work and skills to comply with the standards of care set by the company through continued education and interaction with other technicians.
- Maintain equipment and manage the supply inventory to ensure continued and effective operations.
- Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Credentialed ARDMS, RVT or RVS preferred. We will consider uncredentialed or new graduates willing and able to sit for the certification exam within 6 months.
- One to three years of work experience in a vein clinic is preferred.
- Knowledge of health insurance in regard to payor specific vein policies preferred.
- Knowledge of computers, medical terminology, and insurance in order to effectively handle patient encounters is preferred.
- Attention to detail to accurately capture images and record information required.
- Strong problem-solving skills to identify and troubleshoot technical issues with equipment or images required.
- Ability to multi-task required.
- Self-motivated and looking for personal development required.
- Ability to work and adapt in a fast paced, patient service-oriented environment required.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, including excellent written and verbal skills required.
- Good organizational skills in the performance of duties and responsibilities required.
- Ability to effectively work with physicians, patients, and other personnel in a cooperative, collaborative manner to maintain high patient satisfaction required.

Pay: $35.00 - $47.00 per hour
