Work Shift Time:
10:45 PM - 6:45 AM
Job Objective: Following Standard Operating Procedures, convert material to size specified on the work order. Maintain safety, quality and delivery standards while keeping a clean work environment. Complete all related paperwork and perform other duties as assigned. Perform to takt time.
Essential Job Functions:
- Operate machine following Standard Operating Procedures.
- Tag and remove out of specification material.
- Load and unload equipment, including wide material to be slit, finished material on spools, waste and the die.
- Package rolls going to the customer from the Rotec process.
- Complete all necessary paperwork neatly and accurately.
- Maintain established production standards.
- Be accountable for individual / department goals and objectives.
- Optimize machine for proper length of cut.
- Measure parts and follow standard quality requirements including entering data into a computer system and analyzing Xbar R charts.
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment
- Full time presence required.
- Ability and willingness to be cross trained in any other functions as required or requested.
- Excellent attendance required.
- Ability to work overtime as required or requested including extended shifts and weekends.
- Additional tasks as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
- Ability to read and interpret written instruction.
- Must be able to complete basic paperwork.
- Perform data entry.
- Good dexterity and hand eye coordination.
- High school diploma or GED.
