What are the responsibilities and job description for the Flower Delivery Driver/ Independent Contractor position at Veldkamp's Flowers & Gifts Inc.?
Veldkamp's Flowers and Gifts is hiring Independant Contract Drivers to provide additional support delivering the increase in orders we experience for Mother's Day. Drivers Will Be Using Their Own Vehicles. Please note, ALL vehicle types work just fine, compact cars too! Our shop is located in Lakewood just a couple blocks east of Kipling on Colfax.
This is a seasonal job and will include work opportunities for future holidays as well once you're hired on. This is a great opportunity to supplement your income during the holiday seasons or while you're in between jobs!
We are looking for help Mother's Day, Sunday 5/11. Our shift start times range between 830am and 2pm. Shifts last as long as it takes you to complete your route. You will be given anywhere between 10-20 orders on your route. Earlier shifts will have more deliveries! Drivers are able to complete 3-4 deliveries per hour. If you complete an earlier scheduled route before 2pm you can come back for more! We pay $8 per delivery, so you can make $24-$32 per hr on the road and $160 a day!
All you need to provide:
- Your 7-year, UNCERTIFIED Driving Record from the state you hold your license in currently (request a copy at mydmv.colorado.gov)
- A valid Driver's License
- Proof of Insurance (your name must be on the policy or you must be an authorized driver noted on the policy's declarations page)
