Job description
Velo Law is a multi-state Creditors’ Rights law firm, headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan. We are seeking a full time Bookkeeper to add to our growing team.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions :
Analyze accounts and post general payments.
Post direct payments from Clients.
Download and prepare all ACH and Credit Card payments daily.
Process, balance and mail out Remittance Reports and Client payments.
Process overpayment refunds.
Complete Bank Reconciliations.
Process checks to garnishees for disclosure fees.
Process checks to courts for filing fees.
Void checks.
Process payment plan and recurring billing requests.

Possesses the means to multi-task and function in a high volume, and deadline driven environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Qualifications and Education Requirements :
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proficient in relevant computer applications, accounting software packages, and technology in general.
Possesses the means to multi-task and function in a high volume, and deadline driven environment.
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and collection regulations.
Strong data entry skills, exceptional attention to details and accuracy.
Professionalism, time management and team approach.
