SUMMARY
VP of Operations oversees the operations of the business unit. The primary responsibilities are to develop and track consistent business development and operational procedures, safety, and profitable and timely project completion consistent with high quality standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Works with the executive leadership to develop and monitor annual budget in alignment with strategic plan, and participates in overall corporate planning and budgeting activities.
- Participate in Go/No Go decisions for business development, and ensure committed profits are consistent with Business Unit Forecasts.
- Work with executive leadership to implement and drive the execution of the company systems and processes; provide best practices to executive leadership and lessons learned for continued improvement of the Operations and Procedures Manual
- Visit project sites on a scheduled and periodic basis to remain updated on construction activities; follow up with current customers to ensure their expectations are managed and that they are satisfied with our performance
- Review current Business Unit Plans and compare to the Corporate Forecast
- Review Monthly Margin Analysis Executive Summaries to ensure profitable performance of projects. Investigate MA findings to mitigate potential losses
- Responsible for the assignment of Business Unit talent resources, matching their skill and experience levels, to ensure profitable performance consistent with company objectives. This includes manpower projections, supervision, recruitment, training, professional development, performance and career advancement opportunities, and development of departmental goals and measurements
- Oversee the recruiting, training, reviewing and supervision of all unit personnel and select, train, and develop talent for key positions (direct reports)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field
- 10 years of experience in business development
- Industry experience is a plus but not required
Salary : $200,000 - $300,000
