What You'll Do :
The IT Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of IT projects, ensuring they meet business needs and technical requirements. Reporting to the Director of Project Management, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver IT solutions that improve business processes and drive organizational success. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, technical acumen, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Principal Responsibilities :
- Project Planning & Execution : Manage the full lifecycle of IT projects, from initiation and planning through execution and closure. Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables that align with business goals and technical requirements.
- Cross-Functional Team Coordination : Work with various teams, including IT, business units, and external vendors, to ensure successful project execution. Coordinate and communicate project plans, schedules, and status updates across all stakeholders.
- Timeline & Budget Management : Develop detailed project timelines, schedules, and budgets. Ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget while meeting quality and performance standards. Track progress and adjust plans as necessary to keep projects on track.
- Risk Management & Issue Resolution : Identify project risks, issues, and dependencies early on and develop strategies to mitigate them. Proactively address challenges and escalate problems to the Director of Project Management when needed.
- Resource Allocation : Ensure that resources (including personnel, technology, and financial) are allocated efficiently throughout the project lifecycle. Work with the Director of Project Management to ensure resource availability and alignment with project priorities.
- Stakeholder Communication : Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders. Provide regular status updates, manage expectations, and ensure that any changes or risks are communicated in a timely manner. Ensure alignment between business goals and technical execution.
- Quality Assurance : Ensure that all project deliverables meet the required quality standards. Collaborate with technical teams to validate solutions and conduct testing to ensure they align with project objectives.
- Documentation & Reporting : Maintain detailed project documentation, including project plans, schedules, risk logs, status reports, and post-implementation reviews. Provide periodic reports to the Director of Project Management and other senior leaders on project status, milestones, and outcomes.
- Continuous Improvement : Provide feedback and suggestions for improving project management processes, tools, and methodologies. Contribute to the development of best practices and lessons learned for future projects.
