What You'll Do :
The Staff Accountant is responsible for various accounting functions and the accurate reconciliation and reporting of financial data, as well as supporting business operations as needed.
Responsibilities :
- Process invoices, check requests, reimbursements, expense reports, and intercompany charges
- Review and approve service payables
- Run pay cycles and process checks
- Research and follow-up on invoice discrepancies; vendor statement reconciliation
- Responsible for vehicle acquisition document preparation needed for funding and rewrites
- Assist in the day to day operations of the Accounting Department
- Assist in the month-end process to prepare and validate financial statements
- Work directly with internal and external customers to ensure the highest level of customer service
- Research federal and state tax and registration requirements as needed
- Prepare and file monthly and quarterly sales tax; assist with compilation and filing of 1099s
- Balance sheet schedules including bank reconciliation
- Enter and process vehicle equipment depreciation and debt note schedules
- Reconcile GL Accounts between Accounting Software and Enrich
- Variance Analysis
- Assist in monitoring daily cash activity
- Process monthly accruals and amortization of prepaid expenses
- Maintain fixed assets (set-up / disposals) and process monthly fixed asset depreciation
- Contribute to team effort by completing ad-hoc projects
- Perform various audits as needed
