Responsibilities
Execute on client and Carl Warren strategies to achieve claims quality, customer service, and operational objectives.
Proactively manage claims to ensure file quality meets Carl Warren & Company Claim Handling Guidelines and client requirements.
Maintain high productivity levels based on the age and complexity of the assigned caseload, which can range from 15-50 claims with values exceeding $250K.
Manage timely diaries of claims and consistently achieve audit scores of 90% and above.
Focus on providing outstanding work products to clients.
Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
Prepare reports for clients and present claims in roundtable settings or claim reviews as needed.
Develop strategies for claims resolution with clear and focused file notes.
Identify and effectively manage vendors to achieve satisfactory results on both expense and indemnity costs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
7 years of experience in the P&C industry, with public entity experience a plus.
5 years of experience handling complex/litigated claims and litigation management.
Property experience is a must, with homeowners experience acceptable.
College degree preferred.
Insurance designation preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficient in professional communication, correspondence, Xactimate, and Excel.
Strong computer skills and Microsoft applications preferred.
Knowledge of claims processes and procedures, as well as the overall insurance industry.
Ability to read and understand legal documents.
Xactimate experience is required.

Functional/Technical Expertise: Demonstrate the ability to investigate, evaluate, and resolve claims, maintaining functional and technical expertise through projects, designations, and continuing education.
Additional Information
Claim assignments: 3-5 claims per week based on historical data.
Average timeline: Varies due to the claimant's need to submit proof of damages, with some claims taking several months to resolve.
Training: Onsite training at EBMUD and general Carl Warren & Company training.
Claim management systems: EBMUD uses MicroNich and FHE for claims management.
Mileage reimbursement: Mileage is reimbursable from the EBMUD office to the inspection site.
Note: Training will be 30 day onsite and then will be required to be in office 2X per week.
