Roles and Responsibilities :

Estimate costs for roadway construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.

Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets based on project requirements and client specifications.

Coordinate with project stakeholders including clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure project success.

Manage all aspects of roadway construction projects, including procurement, scheduling, budgeting, and quality control.

Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Lead project meetings and communicate effectively with all project stakeholders to ensure alignment and address concerns.

Proactively identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project outcomes.

Provide regular project updates and reports to clients and management, highlighting key milestones, issues, and risks.

Candidate Skills :

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to accurately estimate project costs and identify potential risks.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and project teams.

Proficiency in project management software and tools, with the ability to develop and manage project schedules and budgets.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines.

Knowledge of roadway construction materials, methods, and best practices.

Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards for roadway construction projects.

Experience in project management and estimation in the construction industry, particularly in roadway projects.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.

Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred; however, support is available for candidates to obtain any required licenses or certifications they may be currently missing.

Proven experience in roadway construction project management and estimation, with a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.

Familiarity with FDOT standards and specifications for roadway construction projects in Florida is a plus.

Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) preferred; however, support is available for candidates to obtain any required certifications they may be currently missing.
