Position Summary
Our Housing and Consumer Unit advocates on behalf of qualifying low-income members of the community facing issues such as eviction, foreclosure, and debt, among many others. Currently, the unit has an opening for a full-time Staff Attorney .
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Providing high-quality legal services to our vulnerable clients.
- The position requires representation in all areas of law, including housing, landlord / tenant disputes, evictions, foreclosures, utilities, public benefits, consumer, and other civil matters.
- The services provided can range from legal advice, brief service, to full court representation.
- This position requires preparing and delivering client and community education; conducting intake and outreach; appearing in administrative and judicial forums; active bar participation; and special legal and community projects.
