Position Summary
The Residual Analyst will be responsible for processing residual payments for assigned shows and accurately reviewing, administering, and analyzing residual payments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Data analysis and project support utilizing excel formulas and pivot tables to generate reports.
- Collect, interpret, and analyze data to identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Perform verification of residual show setups and payments for various distribution markets for compliance with union contracts and company guidelines.
- Maintain working knowledge of union contract residuals provisions, fringes, regulations, deadlines, industry standards, and requirements.
- Maintain client relationships by responding to questions and requests relating to residuals setups and payments in a timely manner.
- Keep accurate records by following residuals recordkeeping procedures.
- Responsible for providing support to other employees within the Residuals department.
- Perform other duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.
- Support, promote, and execute policies developed by department leadership
- Maintain high degree of confidentiality of client information, data provided by client and all company proprietary information such as internal residual processes, computer programs and databases.
- Keep accurate records by following residuals recordkeeping procedures.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experience with residual setups and residual payments required.
- Intermediate to strong skills in MS Office, including Excel and Outlook.
- Mathematics – High level knowledge of arithmetic and its applications.
- Must have strong written and verbal communication at all levels.
- Complex Problem Solving – Identifying problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
- Must use logic and reasoning to make immediate decisions under pressure or tight deadlines.
- Ability to multi-task with a strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree or entertainment industry job experience equivalent.
- 3 years residuals or accounting experience in the entertainment industry highly preferred.
