What are the responsibilities and job description for the Architect position at VensureHR?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Work within a small company atmosphere with other marine engineers, other naval architects, and designers to solve engineering challenges
- Projects include newbuild and refit designs on all different types of vessels, so the role will be involved with ships, yachts, tugs, pleasure boats, passenger vessels, etc
- Create engineering drawings for both new construction and refit projects
- Manage projects, including creating work scopes and schedules, communicating with clients, coordinating technical vendors, and attending project meetings
- Manage the class and regulatory submittal, review, and approval process
- Some travel and fieldwork will be required engineers must be able to work safely aboard ships and in a shipyard environment, including climbing ladders and navigating walkways, gangways, and confined spaces
