What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plant Quality Manager position at VENTEK Solutions LLC?
Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, as a Plant Quality Manager, you will be responsible for the maintenance and control of the plant's quality management system (QMS) within the plant.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Providing development and maintenance of the QMS.
- Develop, coordinate, support, train, assist, and facilitate within all attributes of the QMS.
- Point of contact for all customer issues, lead corrective actions, and ensure Ventek meets all customer requirements.
- Responsible for the Advanced Product Quality Planning Process (APQP)
- Lead the continuous improvement program.
- Reduce variation within work tasks to improve process efficiency and quality.
- Managing the specification, test methods, instructions, and audit processes.
- Ensure quality records are maintained.
- Develops best practices for each operation within the plant and train across all shifts as required.
We'd love to hear from you if:
- You have a four-year degree, preferably in the sciences or engineering (or equivalent experience).
- 4 years' experience in the development and maintenance of a quality testing/reporting system.
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification is preferred
- Fluent in using Microsoft Office products
- Interpersonal skills with a strong emphasis of building positive working relationships within the company
- Ability to travel as needed (10%)
- Ability to support the operations during non-business hours
- Must be authorized to work in the US
