Job Summary:
The Controller is responsible for managing the accounting and financial reporting functions of an organization. This includes maintaining accurate financial records, developing and implementing financial policies and procedures, preparing financial statements, and managing the day-to-day operations of the accounting department. The Controller also works closely with other departments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and to provide financial information and analysis to support decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Monitor and manage cash flow, including the development of cash management policies and procedures
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial information to management and external stakeholders
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial consultants
- Provide financial information and analysis to support strategic planning and decision-making
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with other departments, including sales, marketing, operations, and human resources, to ensure that financial information is integrated into the decision-making process
- Develop and manage the performance of accounting department staff, including hiring, training, and coaching.
Compensation:
$100,000-$150,000 contingent upon experience.
