Under the general supervision of an assigned supervisor, the Information Technology Support Specialist III - Media Production works as part of a team to install, configure, monitor, and manage system performance and availability in support of media production and digital arts environments. Additionally, an Information Technology Support Specialist III – Media Production implements core creative service applications and workflows that adhere to District security standards while developing and disseminating best practices for supporting complex technical processes.
There is currently one full-time (12 months / year, 40 hours / week) vacancy located at Moorpark College.
This recruitment is being conducted to establish a list of eligible candidates that will be used to fill district-wide, current and upcoming, temporary and regular vacancies for the duration of the list, not to exceed one year.

Moorpark College, one of three colleges in the Ventura County Community College District, was founded in 1967. SALARY PLACEMENT New Employees : Generally, new employees are placed on the first step of the appropriate range of the salary schedule.
Current Employees : An employee who is promoted will be placed on the salary step of the new range of the appropriate salary schedule that provides a minimum increase comparable to a one-step increase in salary.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Analyze and optimize digital arts workflows, identifying areas for improvement and recommending solutions to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Develop efficient systems for organizing, storing, and retrieving digital media assets.
- Provide ongoing technical support to media arts students, faculty, and staff. Offer training workshops and information sessions on using discipline-specific technology tools.
- Implement and maintain reliable backup systems to protect media assets and project files, ensuring quick data restoration in case of system failures or data loss.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware issues in media arts programs, including AVID Nexis platforms or similar solutions, video editing suites, and audio production tools.
- Provide ongoing technical support for integrating media production infrastructure and applications into a primarily Windows and Active Directory Domain environment.
- Engage and ensure any security changes or initiatives that might have any impacts are evaluated and reviewed with the campus IT operations and the District Change Control team.
- Install, configure, secure, scale, and maintain macOS, associated applications, and mobile devices via Mobile Device Management software.
- Use endpoint management solutions to set up profiles, configurations, and security settings to ensure seamless device provisioning, configuration, security, and enforcement of policies and compliance.
- Consult with faculty, staff, and students to develop technological solutions for office, lab, and instructional needs.
- Detect and remove viruses, adware, spyware, and other malicious software using antivirus software and alternative techniques.
- Provide guidance and work direction to lower-level Information Technology staff.
- Maintain a current and accurate inventory of computer hardware, software, and licenses owned or leased by the District.
- May analyze, modify, test, and debug existing computer programs; analyze programming and systems problems and make basic modifications to systems and individual programs as required.
- Work collaboratively and professionally with faculty, staff, students, and stakeholders from diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, and ethnic communities.
- Demonstrate cultural humility, sensitivity, and equity-mindedness in working with individuals from diverse communities, model inclusive behaviors, and achieve equity in assignment-related outcomes.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Forty-eight units of coursework in computer science or a related field or possession of comparable certifications applicable to the position, such as Network , CCNA, or the equivalent, AND five years of experience in the installation, maintenance, and management of computer hardware and software systems, network and infrastructure systems, servers and operating systems, or communications equipment.
OR a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field AND three years of experience installing, maintaining, and managing computer hardware and software systems, network and infrastructure systems, servers and operating systems, or communications equipment.

PROBATIONARY PERIOD :
