About The Team
The Payment Services team works in collaboration with the retail teams to research and resolve member inquiries surrounding ACH transactions, item processing, card processing, as well as other negotiable instruments.
- Shifts include: 8AM to 5:30PM (Mon-Wed), 8AM to 6PM (Thr & Fri) and as needed, 8:30AM to 2:30PM (Sat)
- This position is fully on site and will require travel to Ventura, CA
What You’ll Do
- Complete tactical responsibilities as assigned by management which will include but are not limited to:
- ACH
- Wires processing
- Escheatment & IRS annual reporting
- Draft/Item processing
- Fraud/Dispute case processing
- Card/ATM Network
- Digital products support
- General ledger reconcilement
- Performs standard member service clerical duties in the areas of balancing daily activity, researching differences, and following up to ensure adjustments are made in a timely manner.
- Engage in decision-making by researching internal procedures/policies and communicating with the credit union support departments as necessary to solve member issues.
- Receive and resolve incoming calls from members and branch staff. Deliver solutions to members with empathy in an expedient manner, explaining products and services, accurately completing required processes/documentation.
- Perform teller transactions in accordance with training and documented procedures.
- Perform quality control on various tasks within the assigned tasks of the department.
- Act as backup for other colleagues within the Payment Services team as necessary.
What We’re Seeking
- Requires 2 years of financial services experience, preferably in a Payment Services and/or back-office support role.
- Must be proficient in back-office operations including ACH/EFT/Item & Card Processing.
- Must be proficient in computer systems (Microsoft Office) and comfortable working with multiple systems and resources at once.
What Will Make You Stand Out
- Previous Credit Union experience.
- Working knowledge of operating systems – Genesys Cloud, Symitar/Episys, and Centrix DTS.
