Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of mainframe technologies, including COBOL, JCL, TSO, and IBM utilities.
- Experience with mainframe operating systems (e.g., z/OS).
- Familiarity with database technologies (e.g., ADABAS, SQL).
- Experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting tools.
- Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills:
- Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex technical issues.

Roles & Responsibilities
Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
- Actively monitor the performance and health of mainframe applications and systems.
- Identify and diagnose issues, including performance bottlenecks, errors, and outages.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues, escalating to higher levels when necessary.
Application Support:
- Provide technical support to end-users and business stakeholders.
- Respond to and resolve support tickets and queries.
- Document solutions and procedures for future reference.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with development teams to understand application requirements and changes.
- Collaborate with operations teams to ensure smooth system operations and deployments.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing updates on issues and resolutions.
Maintenance and Updates:
- Assist with the maintenance and patching of mainframe applications and systems.
- Participate in the planning and execution of system upgrades and deployments.
Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of mainframe applications and systems.
- Document troubleshooting procedures and resolutions.
Other potential responsibilities:
- Support data extraction from mainframe applications.
- Transfer mainframe data to other systems.
- Participate in system analysis, design, and requirement sessions.
