Role Overview

We seek a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Operations Manager to join our dynamic team in the distribution industry, specifically focusing on pipes, valves, and fittings. This position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on operations management experience and develop essential skills in a fast-paced environment. As an integral team member, you will work closely with various departments to ensure efficient operations, enhance productivity, and contribute to the organization's overall success.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing operational processes and procedures to optimize warehouse and distribution activities' efficiency.
• Monitor inventory levels, assist with stock audits, and coordinate with supply chain management to ensure product availability.
• Support the planning and organization of logistics for inbound and outbound shipments to meet customer demands and delivery timelines.
• Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve operational issues, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Analyze operational data and metrics to provide insights and recommendations for process enhancements.
• Engage in training sessions to further develop operational knowledge and skills within the industry.
• Support compliance with safety and regulatory standards in all operations-related activities.
• Assist management with special projects and other operational tasks as assigned.
  
  

Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma, College degree preferred.
• 2 years of experience in the same or similar role.
• OSHA 10-hour certification preferred.
• Fleet management experience preferred.
• Computer literate; Proficient with MS Office 365.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn about the distribution industry and its best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with different teams.
• Thrives in a collaborative team environment.
• A detail-oriented work style, comfortable with multiple priorities being juggled while maintaining a consistent work approach.
• Physical requirements: sitting, standing, walking, lift to 50 lbs., carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling, enduring frequent exposure to outside weather conditions.
• Ability to pass a background check, MVR check, and drug test.

Salary Description

$65,000 - $85,000 20% bonus
