WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

The Human Resources Generalist provides support for the Human Resources Department and greater organization. The ideal candidate will assist with recruitment lifecycle, record maintenance, payroll processing, clerical support, and various tasks assigned.  This position has knowledge of HR practices and software.  

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Provides administrative support for Human Resources department 
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation 
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records 
  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately 
  • Assists as a backup to HRIS Coordinator with managing and updating HR databases 
  • Assists with payroll functions including preparations, processing, and answering employee questions 
  • Prepares, manages, and stores paperwork for HR policies and procedures 
  • Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management 
  • Maintains, schedules, and coordinates calendar activities 
  • Assists recruiter in posting positions, sourcing, and scheduling interviews 
  • Answers telephone calls and provides needed information 
  • Creates reports for senior management 
  • Organizes and manages new hire orientation 
  • Performs other duties as assigned 
  • Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations 

 

 

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Prior related office experience preferred 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.  
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications 
  • Associates degree in related field preferred 
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
