SCOPE
VENU is seeking a Financial Analyst and a Senior Financial Analyst to provide key financial support and recommendations to a growth-oriented business. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented with strong technical skills that can support the development of meaningful analysis, communicate analysis results to leadership, and drive process efficiency. Key responsibilities include preparing weekly, monthly, and ad hoc financials, sales and operating reports, analyzing financial and operational trends, measuring sales and customer performance, and preparing financial models. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and maintain financial budgets and forecasts (P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow)
- Prepare weekly cash forecasts and monthly capital expenditure forecasts
- Develop, analyze, and communicate operating performance metrics
- Create financial models to aid management in decision-making
- Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews
- Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements
- Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and analysis
- Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materials
- Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and dashboards
- Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2-4 years of business or finance experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree Accounting or Finance required
- Experience with Sage accounting systems preferred
- Strong analytical and data gathering skills
- High proficiency with financial modeling and techniques
- Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills
- Strong computer skills, including advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to streamline functions with a passion to learn and grow
