Job Description

Pay Rate: $20.00 to a maximum of $25.00 Per Hour.

Position Purpose: 

 "Student Exploration and Experience Development (SEED) is a 12-week internship opportunity at Veolia for students to gain hands-on experience in sustainability and ecological transformation. They will work on real-world projects, receive mentorship from industry professionals, and participate in workshops and networking events. The program aims to nurture talent, promote innovation, and foster meaningful connections between students and industry professionals. Overall, the SEED program provides students with the skills, knowledge, and connections needed to make a positive impact in the industry.

Program Dates: June 2, 2025 to August 22, 2025."

FINANCE INTERNSHIP - In this role, you will have an opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals within the Finance organization. You will gain exposure to technical and commercial aspects while supporting the finance team with our Corporate requirements. You will assist the Finance team in achieving its project goals and objectives as an active participant.

Internships at Veolia: Gain hands-on experience in at least one career function from Corporate, Engineering, Maintenance, Manufacturing, Operations, Sales, Supply Chain or Technology.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

• Work with operations teams assisting in the development of financial reports in support of monthly closing activities aligned to international, regional, legal entity and business line reporting.
• Work with the financial team to optimize the profitability analysis by Region and by Business Line
• Executes tasks directly related to functional projects and/or process improvements.
• Communicates issues and roadblocks related to areas of responsibility.
• May assist in research or special projects in a variety of areas in order to fulfill business initiatives and meet business objectives.
• May be asked to prepare and deliver insights and recommendations based on analyses.
• Produces findings and draws conclusions from analyses. Makes oral and written recommendations to management.

Internships are focused on learning and exposure to fundamental business processes and procedures.

Candidates may support any of the Veolia North America business functions.

Qualifications

Education/Experience/Background:

• Working towards a four year degree and you have Senior status  in a finance or accounting major.
• 3.2 Cumulative G.P.A required

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, listening, presentation and facilitation skills / Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships.

Physical Requirements:

• Environments vary by intership function from office to field to plant. Our aim is to provide tangible industry job experience to each intern. While we may extend offers to some interns, there is no guarantee of a job offer at the end of the internship.
