Pay Rate : $105000 to a maximum of $120000 Per Year.

Position Purpose :
Provide highly skilled paralegal support to (i) the Veolia North America (VNA) Legal Department by performing a wide variety of paralegal duties including review and preparation of legal documents and acting as a liaison with various internal and external stakeholders (ii) the VNA attorneys paralegals and finance staff to ensure the billing process is performed in a timely and accurate manner and (iii) the VNA Legal Department with general administrative tasks.
Primary Duties / Responsibilities :
Paralegal Support :
Provide expertise and support related to reviewing and analyzing contractual clauses in existing contracts and preparing related legal documentation.Monitor coordinate and prepare legal documents and correspondence relating to procurement and incorporating standard language to existing contracts.Provide expertise support and assistance to the VNA Legal Department Attorneys and outside counsel by performing legal research analyzing and investigating facts and drafting correspondence to assist in determining the Companys rights and responsibilities under existing contracts.Monitor and manage the execution of contracts and agreements in compliance with internal processes and controls.Perform administrative work for VNA Legal Department including but not limited to paper and electronic records management.Perform other tasks as directed by Senior Director Legal Operations.Billing Activities :
Support the Legal Operations team with the billing process ensuring it is performed in a timely and accurate manner.Inquire research all issues to ensure open balances are resolved.Communicate with outside legal firms for all billing inquiries.Assist with preparing monthly accruals accurately.Ensure that rate sheets are approved timely in the billing system.Prepare billing system reports and analyze financial data.Liaison with SAP and PeopleSoft Finance and Accounting to ensure accurate accounting codes are applied and invoices are processed and paid timely.Assist with scheduling of meetings for members of the VNA Legal Department.Process all other invoices by the legal team and payment requests in our systems.Additional Details :
This is a hybrid position.Qualifications :
Education / Experience / Background :
Associate and / or Bachelor degree and / or Paralegal Certificate and / or work experience.Five Ten years of legal experience is desired preferably both in a law firm and corporate legal department with concentration in the areas of litigation and subpoenas.Experience with ebilling / matter management programs desired.Knowledge / Skills / Abilities :
Ability to work independently.Ability to use good business judgement.Excellent legal research and writing skills.Personal computer skills are essential specifically proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Google Workspace and LexisNexis.Ability to work independently be selfmotivated and work collaboratively with others.Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.Availability to travel and work outside of core hours.Excellent organizational and analytical skills.Prioritizing the ability to multitask and think ahead.Additional Information :
