Position Purpose :
The Software Technical Lead (STL) - Automation is a hand-on role responsible for leading a team of software engineers and developers. This role oversees the entire software development life cycle, from requirements gathering and design to coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance. STL-Automation will focus on identifying and implementation of automation opportunities (including using RPA ), using modern technologies. The role will contribute to the automation of business processes, improving productivity and scalability across the organization.
Primary Duties / Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and implement solutions to automate manual, repetitive tasks across various business functions for VNA Municipal Water (Utility).
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to analyze existing business processes, identify automation opportunities, and prioritize initiatives based on potential ROI and business impact.
- Provide ongoing maintenance and support, monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing enhancements to optimize efficiency and reliability.
- Create comprehensive documentation, including technical design documents, process diagrams, and user manuals, to support the implementation and maintenance of automation solutions. Conduct training sessions for end-users and stakeholders to facilitate adoption and usage solutions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and data security standards, implementing appropriate controls and safeguards to protect sensitive information processed.
- Manage and lead a team of developers, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as product management, design, and operations, to align on project requirements and deliverables.
- Develop and implement software development processes, methodologies, and best practices to improve efficiency and quality.
- Ensure that software projects adhere to established timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Participate in the recruitment and hiring process for software development roles.
- Continuously improve the team's technical skills and knowledge through training and professional development opportunities.
- Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders and senior management.
- Contribute to the overall software development strategy and roadmap.
