Currently seeking a Manager of Unified Communications to lead the strategic development, implementation, and management of the firm's unified communications systems. This critical role will oversee the administration and optimization of platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 365 email, Microsoft OneDrive, and Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), ensuring seamless communication services throughout the organization.

Responsibilities include:

  • Platform Management & Administration: Oversee the administration and optimization of Microsoft Teams for chat, video conferencing, and telephony, including PSTN integration. Manage Microsoft 365 email administration and Microsoft OneDrive, ensuring security, compliance, and reliability. Maintain Cisco Unified Communications Manager during its transition to Microsoft Teams Calling.
  • Migration & Transformation: Lead the migration of collaboration and telecom solutions from legacy on-premise systems to modern cloud environments, particularly focusing on transitioning from Cisco CUCM to Microsoft Teams Calling. Manage all aspects of migration processes to ensure minimal disruption and high system performance.
  • Team Leadership: Direct a team of engineers and administrators, fostering professional development, monitoring progress, and ensuring high performance against organizational standards.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a unified communications strategy that aligns with organizational goals, and continuously evaluate emerging technologies for potential adoption.
  • Operational Excellence: Monitor performance and security across all unified communications platforms, maintaining compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with IT leadership and business units to ensure that communication tools meet the evolving needs of the organization and resolve complex technical issues.
  • User Support & Training: Oversee training programs for users on new communication tools to ensure high adoption and proficiency, and support helpdesk teams with escalated issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; relevant certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator or Cisco CCNP Collaboration preferred.
  • At least 7 years of IT experience with a focus on unified communications, including significant experience managing Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Demonstrated expertise in migrating telephony and collaboration systems to cloud-based platforms like Microsoft Teams.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing technical teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, network protocols, and telephony infrastructure.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.

Skills And Certifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field

Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator or Cisco CCNP Collaboration preferred

Significant Experience Managing Microsoft Teams And Microsoft 365 Administration.

Expertise in migrating telephony and collaboration systems to cloud-based platforms

Strong Leadership Skills With Experience Managing Technical Teams.

Proficiency with Microsoft 365, network protocols, and telephony infrastructure.
