Senior Clinical Nurse Specialist (APRN) - Emergency Department. This position is Full-Time (1.0 FTE) and Day Shift.
The Senior Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN). CNSs are leaders in health care and improve the outcomes of the organization by functioning through the three spheres of influence - patient, nurse, and system. The CNS demonstrates an advanced level of professional competence in a specialized area of nursing practice. The CNS influences care outcomes by providing expert consultation and implementing improvements in patient care delivery. Specifically, the CNS leads in the development of nursing practice that incorporates established national specialty practice guidelines, regulatory requirements, an interdisciplinary framework, outcomes from nursing and healthcare research, best practices change in healthcare that impact patient care delivery; and advances in technology that support efficient and effective patient care. The key roles of the CNS include practitioner, educator, leader, consultant and researcher. With a primary focus on patient care and staff practice within the specialty patient population, the CNS works collaboratively system-wide with nursing, service lines and other patient care departments.
Required Qualifications:
Certification as Clinical Nurse Specialist in area of specialty
National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
Oregon Registered Nurse License
Advanced Practice - Clinical Nurse Specialist License
Master's Degree from a clinical nurse specialist program accredited by CCNE or NLNAC

Required Qualifications:
- Master's Degree from a clinical nurse specialist program accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education (CCNE) or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC).
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
- Upon hire: Oregon Registered Nurse License.
- Upon hire: Oregon Advanced Practice - Clinical Nurse Specialist License.
- Upon hire: Certification as Clinical Nurse Specialist in area of specialty.
- Upon hire: Certification in area of specialty (e.g., CEN, CCRN).
- Must meet three (3) years of experience in area of specialty (Emergency Department).
- 2 years Experience in teaching adult learners.
- 2 years Clinical Nurse Specialist experience
Certification as Clinical Nurse Specialist in area of specialty
