Basic Function
To enhance the lives of the residents by planning and carrying out social, educational and recreational activities.
Specific Requirements
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when necessary.
- Must be computer literate
- Must be 25 years old or older
- Must have, or be able to acquire a valid CDL within 6 months of hire date
Essential Functions
Plan and publish a monthly activity calendar available to residents the first day each month.
- Plan, promote and carry out activities in a way pleasing and enjoyable for the residents.
- Transport Residents to off property activities and events.
- Plan and carry out events that bring outsiders to the property
- Work with the Dietary department in planning food for activities and events
- Work with Churches, Civic Organizations and schools to provide entertainment and Volunteers.
- Have an awareness of events in the area that the Residents’ may be a part of.
- Responsible for set up and clean up for events and activities.
- Maintains a master list of entertainers, volunteers and resources available for activities.
- Be present at all Activities welcoming all guests, residents, encouraging participation and assuming responsibility for the success of the event.
- Participate in the admission of new residents and their adjustment to the Community.
- Participate in the on-call rotation and act as the Manager on Duty
